If you want to remove tarnish and for the copper shine to last, use a regular cloth (eg. old t-shirt cloth) dipped in a vinegar, lemon and salt solution, and rub it well against the copper surface. You can also dip the jewelry directly into the solution in a bowl. Pat dry with a dry cloth and seal with some beeswax or renaissance wax.

If you want it to gain patina, let it stay in contact with your skin. Copper tarnishes beautifully!
